One Love Festival 2023 in Wiesen in Burgenland

It goes into the next round. You can be curious about a great linup. As always in the first weekend of August on Fri the 04. and Sat the 05.August.2023

On the evenings of Friday (4.8.23) and Saturday (5.8.23), well-known reggae artists such as Gentleman, Capleton, Anthony B, Alborosie, Tarrus Riley, Horace Andy and Lila Iké will perform on the festival stage in Wiesen. The line-up also includes well-known local artists such as Rekall, House of Riddim, Badmandi and the Rootzbuam, Dubblestandart, Freemyend, the Rocksteady Conspiracy and many more. We also offer regional artists and musicians the opportunity to perform on our stage.

After the concerts on both evenings, a DJ set invites you to continue dancing and partying, accompanied by the Burgenland sound G-Spot. Relaxation is provided by the food market, which offers a wide selection of exotic dishes (Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, regional and much more), as well as the CBD area. In addition, there will be film screenings and book presentations on both days, followed by discussions with filmmaker Sebastian Schwager and Professor Werner Zips. We also offer free workshops to our visitors from the drum with the Burgenland association Drum Energy sow as children's yoga, Tnazen, and screen printing.

Since we are one of the few festivals in Burgenland where children are also allowed, there will be a large children's area again this year with a bouncy castle, workshops, face painting for children, lectures, etc. (By the way, children up to and including 12 years of age have free admission to the entire festival, and young people up to 18 years of age pay only half).

In addition, we offer our visitors an art market to browse, free parking and a free shuttle bus to the nearby train station. This makes the largest reggae festival in Austria a musical short vacation with Jamaican flair in the middle of Burgenland.

Mono & Nikitaman

Julian Marley

BVZ After Report 2022

A common togetherness, peaceful atmosphere, no riots like at some other festivals.
Anti-war idea as basic intention
The highlight par excellence of this year's "One Love Festival", which transported the basic intention of the event, was the performance of "Mono & Nikitaman" with their song "Imagine". They brought children on stage, sang together with them the refrain, which is as follows: "Start dreaming and imagine it's war and nobody goes. The battlefield stays empty and everyone wins, life is beautiful."
The scheduled headliner for Friday, Anthony B., had canceled in advance. With Third World, Julian Marley or even Max Romeo, three acts that play in the top "reggae league", were nevertheless on stage.
Especially Julian Marley inspired the masses and when he sang "One Love" by his father Bob Marley, the atmosphere was at its peak. The organizer of the "One Love Festival" is the "BunFireSquad.
"There were about 2,500 visitors per day. The organizers thought that it could be a little more. Nevertheless - the reggae event is again in the making. Compared to 2019 - the past two years it was cancelled because of Corona - there were many more visitors," reports Wiesen Festival boss Juliane Bogner.
"One Love Festival" will also take place in 2023.
And reggae fans can look forward to a next "One Love Festival", the agreement for 2023 is signed and sealed and again on the first weekend in August.

Camping

Apart from the traditional history and the associated unforgettable moments as far as reggae music is concerned, Wiesen is also the perfect festival location in summer because of its infrastructure.
A huge campsite surrounded by green forests and meadows, two stages with massive sound and light systems, but also sanitary facilities and the easy stress-free arrival make the festival area in Burgenland unique.

Vacation accommodations in Burgenland

For those visitors who would like to stay longer and combine the festival with a little time off, we present you an offer of attractive vacation accommodations in Burgenland. At Feline Holidays there is something for every taste.

In 2020 we received a recognition award for our involvement in the One Love Festival.

Our goal was to build something sustainable, where we make art and culture accessible to young and old in a relaxed atmosphere. It is important to us to show the festival visitors that it works better with cohesion. A rich children's program for the whole family was also very important to us.

Burgenland Foundation Theodor Kery

Supporting people, projects or institutions has always been a special concern of Theodor Kery (former governor of Burgenland). In order to take this concern into account, the "Burgenland Foundation Theodor Kery" was established in 1976.
Every year the foundation awards prizes for special achievements in the interest of the people and the reputation of Burgenland.

At this point we say THANK YOU!

WIESEN. On August 2 and 3, Wiesen invited to the Reggae Festival. Hammocks, cozy sound from the stage, a picnic blanket and good entertainment - that's how you know Wiesen festivals - and that's exactly how it was on the weekend. Colorful program: As colorful as reggae itself, so was the program on the two days. Whether drum workshop, fine cuisine, really good music, children's bouncy castle or Bezirksblätter photo box - this weekend there was really something for all visitors. Fine music: Especially reggae, but also dub and ska sounds inspired the guests in Wiesen and always ensured a well-filled dance floor. Wiesen has a reggae festival again - and many found it quite wonderful on the weekend.
